최근 인구 감소와 함께 지역 소멸 문제가 대두되고 있다. 그러나 지역 소멸은 지역 인구 감소뿐만 아니라 지역의 정체성과 지속가능성 등 다양한 요인이 연결되어 나타난 복합적인 문제이다. 본 세션은 지역 소멸의 역사적 배경과 현황을 분석하며, 문화적 측면에서 본 지역의 쇠퇴와 그 보존 방안을 모색하는 것을 주요 목표로 한다. 인구 변화가 지역사회에 미치는 영향을 다루고, 이에 대한 사회적, 경제적 대응 전략을 논의하며, 교육의 역할과 디지털 기술을 활용한 지역 재생의 가능성도 함께 탐구하고자 한다.

With the recent population decline, the issue of neighbourhood decline has come to the forefront. However, the decline of neighbourhoods is a complex issue that is not only related to the decline of local populations, but also to the identity and sustainability of neighbourhoods. This session aims to analyse the historical background and current state of regional decline, with the main objective of exploring the cultural aspects of regional decline and how to preserve it. The session will also address the impact of demographic change on communities, discuss social and economic response strategies, and explore the role of education and the possibilities of using digital technologies to regenerate neighbourhoods.
