핵가족화, 1인 가구의 보편화 등 과거와는 다른 양식의 가족 공동체가 등장하고 있다. 이 과정에서 전통적 가치는 평가절하되고 때론 사장해야 할 구식 취급을 받기도 한다. 본 세션은 과거 가족공동체 안에서 여성들이 실천해 온 인문가치와 지혜가 던지는 현대적 의미를 공유한다. 특히 동아시아 최초 여성 조리서를 집필한 여중군자女中君子 장계향 선생의 삶을 통해 전통사상과 문학 속에서 여성들의 인문적 실천이 어떻게 발현되는지 살펴보고, 새로운 사회적 연대와 가족의 의미를 조명하고자 한다.

The nuclear family and widespread single-person households create a different norm. In this process, traditional values are devalued and sometimes treated as outdated with indifference. This session aims to share the contemporary implications of the humanistic values and wisdom practiced by women in the past within the family. Through the life of Jang Gye-hyang, the first female cookbook author in East Asia, it will explore how womens humanistic practices are expressed in traditional thought and literature and shed light on the new meaning of social solidarity and family.
