주 제 : 21세기 종교의 역할

내 용 :
우리는 다양성의 시대를 살아가고 있지만, 역설적으로 어느 때보다 심각한 다양성의 위기에 직면해 있다. 각 집단 및 개인의 입장이 중요시되는 만큼 그들 사이의 갈등 역시 심화되었다. 여러 집단과 개인이 타자를 자신의 이익과 안전을 위협하는 존재로 간주하여, 상대에게 배타적이고 공격적인 태도를 취한다. 종교 역시 그러한 갈등의 중심에 서 있다고 할 수 있다. 본 세션에서는 종교와 종교 간의 갈등, 종교와 비종교 간의 갈등 등 다양한 형태의 갈등에 대해 살펴보고, 여러 사회구성원의 공존을 위해 종교가 나아가야 할 바람직한 역할을 제시해보고자 한다.

Theme: Roles of Religions in the 21stCentury

Although we live in the era of diversity, we are ironically facing a crisis of diversity worse than ever. As the stances of each group and individual become more important, conflicts among those groups and individuals have become intensified. Numerous groups and individuals regard others as a threat to their interests and safety, which results in exclusive and aggressive attitudes towards the other party. In this regard, you can say that religion is at the center of such conflicts. This session is designed to review various conflicts between religions, including conflicts between the religious and non-religious, and suggests ideal roles for religions to take in order to have a variety of community members co-exist.
